Fairtrade has improved the lives of millions of people - farmers, workers and their families - in developing countries. But, we need to keep promoting Fairtrade to ensure people know that buying Fairtrade products can make a positive diference. If you want to hold an event to promote Fairtrade in 2008, the Fairtrade foundation, in the United Kingdom, has lots of resources that you can order for all kinds of events and displays in your school, university, workplace or community to help you spread the Fairtrade message.

The 3rd Fair Trade International Symposium will bring together, on Montpellier (France), researchers, Fair Trade operators, and all those who are interested in, and who wish to share their opinion and experience about Fair Trade. The objectives of the symposium are to present the state of the art concerning studies on Fair Trade, to share information about on-going and coming research projects, and to confront opinions on the future prospects of Fair Trade.
